My general interests are in infectious diseases, and I have developed both basic science and clinical strands to my work. My current basic science interests are in genomic analyses, especially of viruses, to determine pathogen structure and function. My clinical interests are varied, and have included a number of small-scale projects focussing on how data from current experience in avoiding and managing infection may influence future clinical practice.
